The Kawartha Komets tied the Don Mills Diamonds 9-9 in their 1st game ever at the Kinsmen Arena in Peterborough on Sunday, October 25th.
There was an excellent turnout and the parents seemed thrilled to be watching their kids having fun on the ice.
Yesterday was the fulfillment of a dream and the culmination of months of work on the part of Carol Fisher who co-ordinates the Kawartha Komets.

The Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program was launched in 2009 by the founder, Carol Fisher. In August 2022, Carol and her husband David retired and passed the Komets on to a new, committed board of directors and group of volunteers
