The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets participated in the Canada Day Parade and all participants had a great time. Junior Komets coach, Dave Tuck, led the way with his nicely decorated pick-up truck. About 50 players, parents and family members wearing Komets jerseys and waving flags followed along. Jim and Sharon Legon (Bruce's parents) brought up the rear of the Komets' contingent driving their classic 1968 Chrysler Imperial.
