This afternoon Brian & Debbie Sprayson from Kimount stopped at the Kinsmen Arena on their way to Cobourg. They were delivering some much-needed hockey equipment for the Jack McGee Kawartha Komets.
We had seen an ad they had placed on Kijiji for some goalie skates. We responded and arrangements were made to meet the Spraysons to pick up the skates.
When they arrived at the rink where the Komets were practicing, they surprised us by telling us that they wanted to donate the skates and some other pieces of equipment to our Special Needs Hockey Program.
Instead of wanting any recognition for their generosity they asked that we mention that the equipment was donated in memory of a very special uncle of Brian's, Gordon Cross. Gordon had been involved in a variety of sports and has passed on.
Thank you Brian and Debbie! We appreciate what you did so much!
