The Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program brought "special hockey" to Peterborough and area over 7 years ago and our organization has continued to grow and lead the way ever since. Our excellent Board of Directors is committed to ensuring that our organization is run with professionalism and integrity.
The Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program is a registered charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency. As such we can give receipts for any donations of $20.00 or more.

individual. We believe that you, our donors, families and prospective
donors have every right to view our finances. We operate with integrity

We just completed our 7th season with three teams and 65 players.

The Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program was launched in 2009 by the founder, Carol Fisher. In August 2022, Carol and her husband David retired and passed the Komets on to a new, committed board of directors and group of volunteers
